Patricia Ann McArthur, age 79 of Broadway, died Wednesday (7/9/2014) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Harnett County, daughter of the late Alton Norman McArthur and Maggie Vera McNeill McArthur. She was preceded in death by her parents; Sisters Ophelia Johnson and Kate Thomas; Brothers Norman McArthur and Willie Gray McArthur. She was a member of the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church and was a hair dresser for many years at Mabel's Beauty Shop in Broadway. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Friday at the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her sisters Catheryn Starkey of Chattanooga, TN and Edna Kelly of Fuquay Varina, NC; Brothers Samuel McArthur and Rex McArthur of Broadway, NC and John McArthur of Level Cross, NC. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the home of Samuel McArthur. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
