Paul Nelson Garner, age 79 of Sanford, passed away on Monday (8/11/2025) at his home with his family by his side.    He was born on July 28, 1946, son of the late Alexander Garner and Callie Jane Hall Garner.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, James Garner and Thomas Garner.  Paul was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for many years as a farmer.  He loved to go to flea markets and ball games, but spending time with his family was one of his greatest joys.  He is survived by his siblings, Edmond Garner of Sanford, NC, Lillie Hudson of Benson, NC, Mary Barbour of Sanford, NC, Martha Johnson of Angier, NC, Ruth Kelly of Broadway, NC, Judy Watson of Sanford, NC and Shirley Gilliam of Sanford, NC.  Special nephew who was like a son, Terry Garner and wife Jessica, and their children, Raven and Logan of the home, and several nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 17th, 2025 at 2:00pm  at New Covenant Church in Cameron with Rev.
