Paul Anthony "Andy" Sanderford, age 56 of Star, passed away on Tuesday (5/16/2023) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He was born in Chatham County on August 10, 1966, son of John Paul Sanderford and Bonnie Stone Moore. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Paul Sanderford, Jr. Andy was a logger/truck driver for many years, loved to ride horses and enjoyed being outdoors. Surviving is his father, Paul Sanderford and step-mother Frances of Moncure, NC. Mother, Bonnie Moore of Star, NC. Sisters, June Caviness (Anthony) of Ramseur, NC and Lora Davis (Jimmy) of Grantham, NC. Brothers, Chris Sanderford of Pittsboro, NC. And Billy Joe Gurley (Michelle) of Goldsboro, NC. Several nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog "Dawg." The family will receive friends on Friday (5/19/2023) from 1-2pm at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pittsboro and other times at the home of Paul and Frances Sanderford. Graveside funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Humphries officiating.
