Phillip Jackson Goodwin, age 70 of Apex, died Sunday (11/08/2015) at his home. He was born in Chatham County, son of the late Lemmie Jackson Goodwin and Sallie Cummings Goodwin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 11:00am Friday (11/20/2015) at the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Phil Partin and Rev. Randy Umberger officiating. Surviving are his sister, Betty Partin and husband Bill of Apex, NC; Niece Susan Roberson and husband Ricky of Surf City, NC and many friends. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations are made in memory of Phil to UNC Hospice of Chatham County, PO Box 1077 Pittsboro, NC 27312.
