Rachel Marie Williams Jones, age 73 of Broadway, died Monday (10/30/2017) a Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Forsyth County, daughter of the late Victor Ward Williams and Lillie Stanley Russell Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Carl Lee Jones. Memorial services will be conducted at 7 pm Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Woodell officiating. Surviving is her daughter Marie Jones Patterson of Broadway, NC. Sons, William Carl Jones of Sanford, NC and Charlie Lee Jones of Elizabeth City, NC. Sisters Harriett Mason of Olin, NC, Vickie Diane Robert of Winston Salem, NC, Ellen Blevins of Lewisville, NC, Lettie Sheets Hoots of Union Grove, Trudy Jones of Clemmons and Nancy Davis of Winston Salem. Brothers, Keith Sheets of Mocksville, NC and Bud Sheets of Clemmons. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren and her puppy Tyson. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm, one hour prior to the memorial service at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway on Thursday evening.
