Rebecca Ann Thomas Rosser, age 86 of Broadway, passed away on Saturday (9/19/2026) at her home. She was born in Lee County, daughter of the late Neil Allen Thomas and Luzene Howard Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Richard Rosser, brother, Neil Allen Thomas Jr.; sisters, Eloise Thomas Rosser, Beatrice Thomas Brownlee and Roetta Thomas Taylor and her nephews, Neil Allen Thomas III. And Michael Brownlee. Rebecca or Becky as she was known to many, was a true southern lady who had charm, beauty and grace. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church and had a card ministry that touched hundreds of lives when receiving a card that was sent with love from Becky. Her first job was at Cornell Dubilier and later she worked at Kings Department Store, Avent Thomas and Farrah’s. She and her sister Roetta later owned and operated R&R Originals in Broadway. Working with children was a true passion and for many years she was a substitute teacher for Harnett County Schools. She loved to travel and she and her husband Richard enjoyed many cruises and trips throughout the years. She enjoyed listening to country and gospel music, listening to the words and finding the true meaning in each song. Becky loved animals especially her special cat, Kitty Kitty who was a true companion until the end. Her family was very important to her and her nieces and nephews were the center of her life. She enjoyed spending time with them and they will always remember that Becky made this world a better place and that everyone needs an Aunt Becky to make their life a little sweeter. Becky will always be remembered for her kind deeds, beautiful smile, servants heart and her wonderful sense of fashion. She is survived hy her nephews, Anthony Taylor and Mike Brownlee Jr.; nieces, Kelli Rattz, Jennifer Goodwin, Holly Brownlee; great-nieces Heather Rosser and Natalie Goodwin and several other nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Darnell Taylor and special friends Kim and Wayne Garner. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 2pm at Mt Pisgah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall.
