Richard Floyd Kochenberger, age 86 of Sanford, passed away on Monday (2/21/2023) at Westfield Rehabilitation and Health Center.  He was born on September 20, 1936, son of the late James Otha Kochenberger and Hannah Wolfe Kochenberger.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Joan Kochenberger and sisters Margie Lober, Mamie Huckstep and Leona Kochenberger.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Surviving is his daughter, Tammy Jo Toby of Bowling Green, KY.  Sons, James Allen Kochenberger (Michelle) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Kurt Kochenberger (Lori) of Braidwood, Ill.  Sister, Diane Shanks of Belle, MO.  Brothers, Jimmy Kochenberger (Darlene) of Pennsylvania, Billy Kochenberger of Illinois, and Gale Kochenberger (Melody) of Watseka, Illinois.  Grandchildren, Amanda, JoAmber, Ashley, Kaitlynn, Hannah, Marschall, Griffin and great-grandchildren, Sloane, Lillith and Anakin.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
