Robert Edward "Bubba" Harrison, 67 of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012. Bubba was born on November 13, 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Robert Oscar and Mary Lorraine McFarland Harrison. He graduated from Boone Trail High School in 1964 and later from Campbell University with a BS Degree in Business in 1974. He retired from the US Government Social Secutrity Administration with 29 years of loyal service. He was a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge, was an avid golfer and enjoyed collecting antiques. Surviving to cherish his memory are a son, Eddie Brooks of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren, Russell and Garrett Brooks; two brothers Richard E. Harrison and wife Kathy of Sanford, NC and Thomas O. Harrison and wife Alecia of Clayton,NC; Six nieces and nephews and Uncle Larry McFarland of High Falls, NC. The Harrison family will recive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Silas Creek Chapel in Winston Salem, NC. A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm Friday at the the Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
