Roberta Gail Womack, age 63 of Sanford, died Wednesday (1/11/2017) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Lee County, daughter of the late Gattis Clyde Womack Sr. and Annie Azalea Lynch Womack. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Roman Keith Womble. A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm Friday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Surviving is her son Virgil Womble of Sanford, NC, brothers Tommy Womack of Sanford, NC and Gattis C. "Oggie" Womack and wife Brenda of Sanford, NC. Two grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm, one hour prior to the memorial service at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
