Robi Joseph Williams, age 14 of Lillington, died Saturday (12/22/2012) at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. He was born in Lee County, son of Ted Joseph Williams and Kelli MaDora Thomas. He was a volunteer at Haven of Sanford and studied cubing and Mellargy. He was an accomplished artist and guitarist. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm Friday evening at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Pastor Hugh Alston officiating. Surviving are his father Ted Williams (Kathie Decker) of Liberty, NC; Mother Kelli MaDora Thomas of the home; Step-sister Allison Decker of Liberty, NC; Half-brother Nicholas Edge of Kansas; Maternal grandparents Lynda Meeks Parkhurst of Lillington,NC and Harold Delphus Thomas of West End, NC; Paternal grandparents Harold Williams of Texas and Marjie Williams of Nevada; Uncle Harold Jason Thomas (Tonya) of Clayton, NC; Aunts Janie Thomas of Fuquay Varina, NC and Jennifer Hanes (Ken) of Washington, DC; Cousins Zachary Jason Thomas, Alex Phillip Thomas, Kaleigh Jane Thomas, Josh Hanes and Maddie Hanes. Although he will be missed, we know that he is at peace. At a later date, a foundation will be established in memory of Robi. More information will follow.
