Roger Clifford Mack, age 83 of Sanford, formerly of Sarasota, Fla., passed away on Friday (7/5/2024) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.  He was born on June 14, 1941, son of the late Francis Perry Mack and Bertha Isabelle Mason Mack.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Martha Jane Mack.  Roger was a Veteran of the United States Army, had a green thumb and loved his garden.  He played the guitar and harmonica and loved everyone. He enjoyed playing board games, checkers, loved jokes and old Army stories.  A visitation and gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 6-7pm, at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Burial will follow at a later date in the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.  Surviving are his children, Carol Flocken (John) of Sanford, NC, Irene Keiser (Gary McCoy) of Pottstown, PA, Christine Mack of Sarasota, Florida and Roger Mack, II of Sarasota, Florida.  Sister, Donna Davis (Roy) of Pennsylvania; brothers, Robert Mack (Patricia) of Alabama, Rusty Mack (Kate) of Pennsylvania and Richard Mack (Jackie) of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com  Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
