Roger Bennett Womack, age 76 of Broadway, passed away on Saturday (06/07/2025) at his home.  He was born on December 20, 1948, son of the late Eural "Pete" Womack and Isabell Martin Womack.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Brenda Womack Schell and his wife, Dianne Wilkes Womack.  Roger was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for many years at Allied Fibers/Honeywell.  He enjoyed going fishing and playing golf.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family, and going on rides around town.  He is survived by his son, Kevin Womack of Sanford, NC and his daughter, Kristin Womack of Broadway, NC.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday (6/12/2025) at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Garland Smith officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be made in Roger's memory to the Lee County Animal Shelter, 1450 N.
