Ronald Wayne Partin, age 76 of Durham, died Tuesday (1/9/2018) at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. He was born on October 12, 1941, son of the late Aubrey Lee Partin and Myrtle Currie Partin. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, was retired from the North Carolina Army National Guard and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3pm at the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Apex with Rev. Randy Umberger officiating. Surviving is his wife Vera Goodwin Partin of the home. Son's Anthony Wayne Partin and wife Tammy of Durham, NC and Billy Joe Partin and wife Denise of Pittsboro, NC. Sisters Peggy Partin Humphries, Gloria Jean Partin and Betty Partin Woods. Brother Jimmy Aubrey Partin and four grandchildren, Austin Joe Partin, Aaron Taylor Partin, Jason Michael Partin and Alyssa Moya Partin. The family will receive friends from 2-3
pm, one hour prior to the funeral service on Sunday at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials are made to the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1288 Mt. Pisgah Church Road, Apex, NC 27523.
