Rosalie Margaret Carey, age 71 of Broadway, died Wednesday (1/11/2017) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late William Joseph Carey and Sarah Elizabeth Breig Carey. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings George Agnew, William Agnew, Betty Stefanski and Cassie Barnes. She retired from Champion/Titan Mobile Homes in the service department. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery. Surviving are her daughters Lori Saunders Andrews and husband Donald of Broadway and Jennifer Saunders Brown of Sanford, NC and their father Harry R. Saunders of Broadway. Siblings Francis Agnew, Jeri Vecchione, Mary DePue, Peggy Konopka, Patsy Rosselli, Carolynne Crawford, and William Carey. Four grandchildren, Jacob Morrison, Kenzie Oldham, Jaxon Brown, and Dylan Saunders Andrews and two great grandchildren, Caden Morrison and Connor Morrison. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the home of Donald and Lori Andrews.
