Roy McCormick Bell, age 58 of Sanford, died Sunday (5/19/2013) at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab in Dunn. He was born in Lee County, son of the late Eli Roy Bell and Elizabeth McCormick Bell. Roy loved his Coca Cola's, cheeseburgers, ice cream and riding his golf cart. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday at the Barbecue Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sandy Williams and Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are his guardian and cousin Mike and Donna McCoy of Sanford, NC; Aunt Lois Roseman of Sanford, NC; Uncle Gene Hinkle of Sanford, NC; Cousin James McCormick of Sanford, NC and many loving cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the home of Mike and Donna McCoy. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
