Roy Stephen Hall, age 83 of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday (3/11/2020) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.  He was born in Lee County, son of the late George Alton Hall and Mary Edna Hall.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Coley Hall and Ray Hall.  Roy was a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Naval Reserves.  He was a member of the Sanford Church of God and the Submarine Veteran Association.  Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday at the Sanford Church of God with Rev. Mike Horton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lemon Springs Methodist Church Cemetery.  Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Webster Hall of the Home.  Sons, Coy Stephen Hall and wife Lydia and Troy Lee Hall and wife Eliza of Sanford, NC. Daughter Ashley Palmer and husband Justin of Goldston, NC.  Sister Madie H. White of Cleveland, Tennessee.  Brothers, Jack O. Hall and Ralph Hall both of Sanford, NC.  Grandchildren Hunter Lee Hall, Sierra Lynn Hall, NaKayla Jackson, Kinsley Palmer, Jeremiah Palmer, Carolyn Palmer and a host of sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Sunday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the Sanford Church of God and other times at the family home.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com .  Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
