Sadie Yarborugh Ryals, age 73 of Sanford, died Thursday (6/5/2014) at her home. She was born in Lee County, daughter of the late Earlie Lacy Yarborough and Esther Lett Yarborough. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dolly Stone and Marguerite Hargis and brother David Yarborough, and her husband Luther Greene "Pete" Ryals. She was a member of the Juniper Springs Baptist Church. Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00pm Sunday at the Juniper Springs Baptist Church with Rev. John Hackney officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving is her daughter Judy Lane and husband Jonathan of Sanford, NC; Sons Johnny Ryals of Williamsburg, VA and Jimmy Ryals of Sanford, NC; Sisters Helen Maddox of Sanford, NC, Elsie Wicker and husband Tracy of Goldsboro, NC and Belle Jones and husband Needham of Holden Beach, NC; Brother Elbert Yarborough and wife Joyce of Durham, NC; Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Sunday, one hour prior to the memorial service at the Juniper Springs Baptist Church and other times at the family home. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
