Obituary for Sally Mae Crissman Sloan

From Durham N.C. Sally was born in Moore County N.C.  on November 18, 1940.  Sally loved to travel and spend time at her "Lake House", reading, crafting, Silver Sneakers, and especially her Red Hats!!!   Sally was a wonderful and devoted wife, a great cook, a devoted friend, and most especially an amazing "Nannie" to all her babies. Surviving is her husband of 64 years whom she adored, L. Wayne Sloan, her daughter Sheila Sloan Duncan (James), and son Larry W. Sloan Jr. (Jan), grandchildren Brandon Duncan (Samantha), Treva Duncan Gordan (Eddie), Louisa Sloan Walters (Stephen), Ginnie Sloan, and Sarah Sloan.  Great-grandchildren, Cole and Luke Duncan; Bryce and Maci Gordan. Graveside memorial service will be conducted at 2pm Monday (3/15/2021) at Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 3554 Avents Ferry Road, Sanford, NC 27330.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Salem Presbyterian Church, c/o Debbye Sloan, 8304 Hillcrest Farm Road, Sanford, NC 27330.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com
