Sam “Sammy” Comer Jr. age 73 of Broadway, passed away on Sunday (9/13/2026) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Lee County, son of the late Sam Comer and Mabel Wilson Comer. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard Comer and Kenny Comer; sisters, Peggy Presley and Connie Wyndham and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Linda Cameron Comer of Broadway, NC; daughters, Angel Comer of Sanford, NC and Charlie O’Quinn of Sanford, NC; son, Sam “Bucky” Comer of Broadway, NC; stepson, Timothy Lee Cameron of Maryland; sister, Della Comer Smith of Cameron, NC and his five grandchildren.
