Sammy James Womack, age 68 of Broadway, passed away on Thursday (12/15/2022) at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.  He was born on June 21, 1954, son of the late Wesley Hoyle Womack and Sarah Lynch Womack.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Joey (Babe) Womack and Randy Womack.  Sammy loved to go fishing with his wife Glenda and his friends.  He enjoyed racing and was a fan of NASCAR.  Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2pm at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating.  The family will be receiving friends from 12:30-1:45pm Monday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church Multi-Purpose Building, prior to the funeral service.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Glenda McNeill Womack of the home.  Sister-in-law, Debbie Womack of Lillington, NC.  Brother-in-law, Jimmy McNeill of Sanford, NC.
