Sandra Mae Rogers Romero, age 67 of Broadway, passed away on Tuesday (2/17/2026) at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.  She was born in Melbourne, Florida, daughter of the late Willie Carl Rogers and Vivian Joyce Anthony Rogers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, John Louis Romero.  Surviving is her daughter, Cynthia Romero Hickman (Edward) of the home; sisters, Betty Sue Smith (Mike) of Ocean Isle, NC and Joyce Louise Frye (Don) of Satsuma, Alabama; brothers, Willie James Rogers of Cusseta, GA, Fred Cecil Rogers (Teresa), of Hamilton, GA and Billy Carl Rogers of Broadway, NC; and grandchildren, Brackstin Schweinfurth, Conner Schweinfurth and Deacon Schweinfurth.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, (2/22/2026) at 2:00pm at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.   Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
