Shirley Jean Cagle Smith, age 71 of Sanford, passed away on Friday (3/4/2022) at Sanford Health and Rehab.  She was born in Richmond County, on April 15, 1950, daughter of the late Hugh Cagle and Bertie Mae Collins Cagle.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Glenn Smith.   A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Surviving are her daughters, Cheryl Baker and husband Johnny of Cameron, NC and Kelli Homesley and husband Keith of Mebane, NC.  Sister, Barbara Ann Bradley of Cheraw, SC; Brother, Eddie Cagle and wife Elaine of Rockingham, NC.  Grandchildren, Johnny Baker Jr., Leigh Ann Baker, Matt Baker and Jordan Saathoff and five great-grandchildren.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
