Shirley Morris Smith, age 66 of Sanford, died Friday (10/29/2021) at her home.  She was born in Lee County on September 3, 1955, daughter of the late Robert Louis Morris and Mamie Lee O'Quinn.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Shirley enjoyed sports and being outside.  She loved playing horseshoes, fishing and enjoyed being with her family and friends.  She loved to care for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday (11/3/2021) at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and have a private family memorial service at a later date.  Surviving is her husband, Richard Lee Smith of the home.  Daughter, Jessica McDougald and husband Brad of Sanford, NC and daughters, McKenzy Lynn McDougald and McKayla Quinn McDougald.    Son, Anthony Smith of Sanford, NC.  Sisters, Cathy Page and husband Danny of Sanford, NC, Peggy England and husband Neal and Lisa Holt and husband Dave of Broadway, NC.  Brothers, Danny Morris and Jimmy Morris of Sanford, NC.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
