Treva Knight Gilbert, age 89 of Dudley, NC passed away on February 29, 2020 at Wayne UNC Hospital in Goldsboro.  Treva was born October 30, 1930, to the late Jody Jefferson Knight and Laura McNeill Knight of Broadway, NC.  She was the youngest of the late 5 brothers and 4 sisters.  She was preceded in death by her husband Norwood Kendall Gilbert.  They shared 53 years of marriage with Peace, Happiness and Countless Blessings from their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Treva is survived by her daughter Kendra Cheryl Gilbert Hatem and her husband Ronnie Hatem.    Treva graduated from Boone Trail High School in 1949 in Harnett County.  She attended Campbell College for two years and graduated from East Carolina College in 1953 with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education.  She taught a total of 31 years in the Alamance County Schools and in the Burlington City Schools.  Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm on Tuesday (3/3/2020) at the Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway with Rev. Jerry Parsons and Rev.
