Vickie R. "Vic" Womack, age 59 of Sanford died Monday (4/22/2013). He was born in Lee County, son of the late Victor Ree Womack and Evelyn Lettie Johnson Womack. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Vincent Chase Womack. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Surviving are his daughter Victoria Leigh Womack of Colonial Heights, VA; Son Victor Rea Womack of Colonial Heights, VA; Sisters Phyllis Collins and husband Jesse of Sanford, NC and Hilda Cain and husband Les of Laurel Fork, VA; Brother John E. Womack and wife Gayle of New Ironton, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 9:30am - 11:00 am Saturday morning at the Smith Funeral Home, prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 370 Broadway, NC 27505 for funeral expenses. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
