Virginia Webb Coggins Serina, age 82 of Lillington, passed away Thursday (7/24/2019) at her home. She was born on May 18, 1937, daughter of the late Alfred Branson Webb and Florence Eliza Alexander Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Alfred Webb, first husband Hurley D. Coggins Jr. and her daughter Marian Chriscoe. Virginia attended Campbell University and earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Fayetteville State University. She was a retired educator with Harnett County Schools, Lee County Schools and taught at Central Carolina Community College. She was a member at Grace Chapel Church and attended Crossroads Ministries and 3D Community Church. She loved animals and was a supporter of St. Jude's Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Moore Union Christian Church, 4294 Buckhorn Road, Broadway, NC. The Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastors David Yarborough and Charlie Hickman officiating. Surviving is her husband David Serina of the home. Brother Riley Webb and wife Francis of Norwood, NC. Daughters Ann Gail and husband Robert Bennett of Sevierville, TN, Donna and husband Bobby Kelly of Broadway, NC, Barbara Cummings of Broadway, NC, Rebecca and husband David McEvers of Lemon Springs, NC. Sons Reid Coggins and wife Teresa of Broadway, NC, Branson Coggins and wife Sarah of Lillington, NC and son in law Andrew Chriscoe of Roanoke, VA. Grandchildren Michael Watts, Randy Kelly, Daphne Ryser, Brian Cummings, Brandy Bowles Morrison, Jonathan McEvers, Tiffany Thomas, Anthony Hall, Elizabeth Dombrowski, Summer Corbin, Kristen Carlyle, Jacob Coggins, Abby Coggins, 28 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's. Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
