Wayne David Rouse, age 77 of Broadway, passed away on Friday (5/2/2025) at Central Harnett Health in Lillington.  He was born on October 10, 1947, son of the late Walter Hubert Rouse and Gracie Mae Johnson Rouse.  He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Grace Elizabeth Rouse and Walter Allen Rouse; brothers, Douglas Rouse, Harold Rouse, George Rouse, Richard Rouse, Grady Rouse, Jerry Rouse and cousin, Buddy Rouse.  Wayne served in the United States Army during Korean and Vietnam and retired after 21 years of serving his country.  After his retirement from the military, he went on to work for nineteen years at Raven Rock State Park before retiring.  Wayne was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, enjoyed going fishing, traveling, and working on cars with his special nephew David.  Surviving is his wife, Grace Bjork Rouse of the home; special nephew who was like a son, David Rocque (Mary) and their children, Timmy and Nick of Broadway, NC; and many other family members and friends.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm on Wednesday (5/7/2025) at the Antioch Baptist Church in Lillington.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm with Rev.
