Wilbur Ralph Stephens Sr. age 91 passed away peacefully on (3/13/2013). Wilbur was born on October 23, 1921 in Erwin, NC to the late Joseph Raymond and Ruth Stephens. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of Sanford Masonic Lodge No. 151 AF&AM, Shriners International and the Scottish Rite. He loved Volunteering to benefit the Children's Burn Center and was a past deacon at Rocky Fork Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, the love of his life; a son Wilbur Ralph Stephens Jr., Brothers Gerald and Bruce and a sister Doris Barnes. He is survived by his daughter Barbara Cashion and husband Barry of Sanford, grandchildren Steve Stephens (Lee), Debbie Dollar, Eric Cashion (Ginny) and Kimberly Davidson (Rafe); Nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a very special family friend Kay Kelly. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday at Rocky Fork Christian Church with the Rev. Misty Mowery, Rev. Kevin McHarg and Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery with full Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at the Rocky Fork Christian Church Fellowship Hall for lunch at the conclusion of the burial and other times at the home of Barry and Barbara Cashion. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
