William David "Will" Cox, age 27 of Roswell, GA, formerly of Sanford, passed away on Saturday (5/11/2024) in Georgia.  Will was born on August 26, 1996, son of Kimberly Johnson Cox and the late William Thomas Cox.  He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Ed and Odessa Cox; and maternal grandparents, Olin and Fay Johnson.  Will was a 2015 graduate of Lee County High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator.  He was an avid outdoorsman, and many days were spent fishing and hunting with his dad and brother Hunter.  He loved spending time with his family and friends. Will enjoyed fishing the Rivers in Georgia, going to Top Golf and playing corn hole with his bosses, David and Keller.   Surviving is his mother, Kimberly Johnson Cox of Sanford, NC.  Sister, Crystal Statton (Ron) of Sanford, NC; brothers, Hunter A. Cox and Matthew Cox (Lauren) of Sanford, NC, one niece, three nephews and many cousins.    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11am at Baptist Chapel Church, 2413 Buckhorn Road, Sanford, NC 27330 with Rev.
