William Henry "Buddy" Baker III., age 31 of Sanford, died Saturday (8/3/2019).  He was born on February 5, 1988, son of William Henry "BJ" Baker Jr. and the late Viola Powers Baker.  He was preceded in death by his mother, brother Jason Wallace Black and his grandmother Betty Baker.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Friday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Dennis McPherson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery.  Surviving is his father William "BJ" Baker Jr. and wife Diane of Sanford, NC.  Children Yolany Popoca, Viola Maribel Baker, Arizona Yvette Baker and their mother Evelyn Martinez.  Sisters Amanda Baker Miller, Betty Marie Baker and Amy Elizabeth Baker all of Sanford.  Step-brothers Christopher Setzer and Tyler Walton both of Sanford, NC.  Grandparents William Baker of Sanford, NC and Marie Bolick of Hickory, NC and several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
