Mrs. Yvonne Anne Whitaker, 86 born August 9, 1928 at her home in Tullibigeal, a country town in Australia. She passed away Monday morning, January 12, 2015 in her sleep at Liberty Commons Nursing Facility. She spent her early life helping her family take care of their farm. She later spent several years as a ballet dancer. She married her American husband, Bob in 1952. Yvonne enjoyed traveling the world throughout her lifetime, even though the family settled in the USA in 1966 she still had strong feelings for Australia. Preceded in death by her father Charles Walter Bryant, Mother, Anne McWalker Bryant, Brother Barry Charles Bryant and her husband Robert K. Whitaker. Surviving are her sisters, Marjorie Roseland Donaldson, June Margaret Hansen and Valda Eleanor Nelson; Sons Gary R. Whitaker and wife Mary, Miles W. Whitaker and wife Diane, Phillip B. Whitaker and wife Ann, and Edward C. Whitaker ; Grandchildren Weston R. Whitaker, Diana E. Whitaker, Caitlin F. Whitaker, Melinda A. Whitaker, Morgan E. Whitaker, Daniel M. Whitaker , Alec R. Whitaker, Brynne E. Whitaker, Elise Anne Whitaker and Bryce David Whitaker. She will be missed as a loving, caring mother and grandmother who loved to talk and share experiences. Her family will receive visitation starting at 1:00 pm with the funeral commencing at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 17th, 2015, at the Broadway Presbyterian Church.
